| The two x-rays below are of the neck,
also called the cervical spine. They are taken from
the side with the patient looking forward in his/her
normal posture. The x-ray on the left displays a normal
cervical spine with a "c" shaped curve called a lordosis.
Also the head is held upright over the shoulders showing
zero forward head carriage, also called a translation.
This normal has been established and published in medical
and chiropractic literature. The x-ray on the right
displays a severely abnormal cervical spine with a
reversal of the normal curve. This is called a subluxation
and has serious consequences on our health and well-being. |
