Pain
Management in Bradley Beach, NJ
When
you’re in pain, it’s not always easy to know where
to look for help. Should you visit a medical doctor? What if you
need physical therapy? How about acupuncture?
Monmouth
Pain and Rehabilitation is making the pain management process
both straight forward and intuitive for patients suffering from
a wide variety of painful conditions. Our office incorporates
non-surgical pain management through medical care with physical
therapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, and chiropractic care.
This means that, under the direction of our in-house medical doctor,
patients with a number of pain management and health issues can
find all of these options under one roof.
Not
only does this system of care simplify the rehabilitation and
pain management process, it also makes for more cohesive and effective
strategies. All of the healthcare practitioners in our facility
work in seamless harmony with each other in order to obtain the
best possible results for our patients. At Monmouth Pain and Rehabilitation, we treat a wide range of health problems, including (although
not limited to) this list of conditions:
Medical Care and Physical
Therapy for Pain Management
The
practitioners at Monmouth Pain and Rehabilitation approach
all illness and injury with the intention of helping the body
to heal itself. This often means that using a conservative approach—physical
therapy, chiropractic, etc.—can help patients avoid unwarranted
and damaging surgery or excessive drug use.
The
Medical Director in our facility works in close cooperation with
all of our healthcare departments to create strategies that relieve
pain while addressing the causes of pain; help patients return
to normal movement and functioning; and address the emotional
and social needs of patients during the rehabilitation process.
Minimally
invasive procedures (such as injections of a corticosteroid and/or
anesthetic numbing medication) are part of our office’s
dedication to helping patients avoid surgery and heal using the
healthiest means possible. Often, the relief found through steroid
or anesthetic injections can help patients begin to rehabilitate
through beneficial practices such as physical therapy. This tactic
is used for patients in immobilizing or extreme pain.
By
offering a number of both active and passive physical therapy techniques,
our physical therapy department works with medical staff and patients
to develop programs for reducing pain, increasing movement, and
developing strength. With this goal in mind, Monmouth Pain and Rehabilitation has incorporated a number of techniques and technologies
relevant to these goals, including: PowerPlate
whole body vibration technology, Spinal
Decompression. Ultrasound Therapy, Low
Level Laser Therapy, and Electrotherapy.
Acupuncture
and Chiropractic Care
Acupuncture
is an ancient Chinese technique that involves the insertion of very
fine needles at certain points on the body to achieve pain relief
and overall balance and wellness. Acupuncture has been proven to
treat not only pain, but hypertension, anxiety, and depression as
well. Additionally, our pain management office has had great success
in using acupuncture to help patients Quit
Smoking Now.
The
human body is susceptible to disease and disorder when the nervous
system is compromised. Chiropractic care is a method of ensuring
the health of the nervous system to achieve a number of wellness
goals (pain management included).
Because
Monmouth Pain and Rehabilitation offers such a wide range
of healthcare modalities, we are able to offer services for conditions
that may or may not be related to pain management. These include:
