Colts Neck, NJ Pain Management

Monmouth Pain and Rehabilitation offers a new type of pain management for Colts Neck residents.

Colts Neck pain management patients can now find the very best in medical care, physical therapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, and chiropractic treatment at Monmouth Pain and Rehabilitation. By offering all of these modalities in one location, patients benefit from an approach that includes traditional care, cutting-edge technologies, holistic practices, and both Eastern and Western methods of pain relief.

This revolutionary new treatment model—which uses a collaborative approach—helps patients avoid surgery and the overuse of painkilling medications. In additional to building a staff that includes only the very best healthcare practitioners in the Monmouth County area, our office provides more effective pain management strategies through a unique cooperative process.

For the treatment of sports injuries, auto accident injuries, or other conditions such as back and neck problems, patients begin the pain management and rehabilitation process by meeting with our Medical Director. This physician is a specialist in the types of conditions that affect the musculoskeletal system and can cause pain and compromised movement and flexibility.

The diagnostic process might include any of the following imaging techniques: traditional x-ray, fluoroscopy, or ultrasound (all are offered on the premises). Once an accurate diagnosis has been made, our physician will then work with patients to create a pain management and rehabilitation program suited to each individual’s needs. This program might include any of the following:

Physical Therapy: Working closely with medical staff, physical therapy is an excellent way to heal injury, reduce pain, and return the body to normal (or enhanced) functioning. This is accomplished with a number of methods, including Spinal Decompression, Therapeutic Exercise, PowerPlate whole body vibration therapy, Ultrasound Therapy, Electrotherapy, and Low Level Laser Therapy.

Acupuncture: The human body is an amazing structure that comes fully equipped with the ability to treat pain without the use of pharmaceutical intervention. Acupuncture helps the body to use its own natural resources for handling pain. The stimulation of certain points on the body can help release endorphins, natural painkilling chemicals. Acupuncture can also suppress the stimulation of nerve signals that cause pain by increasing levels of serotonin. Serotonin also helps the body to relax.

Chiropractic Care: The body’s central nervous system, which includes the brain and spinal cord, is responsible for every function of the body (including pain). The chiropractic services at Monmouth Pain and Rehabilitation work to find and eliminate intrusions in the nervous system that often occur when the spine is misaligned (these intrusions are known as subluxations). By correcting misalignments, chiropractic care supports the body’s ability to heal and manage pain by directly addressing issues with the nervous system.
