Sea
Bright, NJ Pain Management and Rehabilitation
Nestled
barrier-style between the Atlantic Ocean to the east and a river
to the west, Sea Bright provides the opportunity to live in a close-knit
community where—as in the past—neighbors know each other’s
names and faces are familiar. While the pace of life may change
with the summer season, one thing remains: people and families are
at the heart of Sea Bright’s year-round community feeling.
Our
pain management and rehabilitation facility is dedicated to helping
Sea Bright pain patients find relief from suffering, illness, and
disability. We believe not only in compassionate care, but also
in finding ways to help patients without inflicting further
damage on the body through unhealthy practices.
While
other medical offices may be quick to suggest traumatic (possibly
unnecessary) surgeries or the long-term use
of painkilling medications, Monmouth Pain and Rehabilitation
works tirelessly to find real solutions to painful conditions, solutions
that boost (not degrade) the health of the body.
The
following is a list of some of the injuries/illnesses/conditions
treated at Monmouth Pain and Rehabilitation.
Our
office is able to provide rehabilitation for a wide variety of concerns
because we offer so many treatment options in one location. This
was an intentional move that allows us to provide multi-disciplinary,
integrated care in a way that is less stressful for suffering patients.
It is no longer necessary to drive to two or more offices to see
your Medical Doctor, acupuncturist, physical therapist, or chiropractor.
Because all of our healthcare practitioners are in one place, we
are able to collaborate on a daily, face-to-face basis, making for
the most cohesive and successful plans of pain management possible.
We’re
excited to be at the forefront of a new movement in pain management,
one which uses a multi-disciplinary system of care to provide thoughtful,
well-planned programs of pain management so that patients do not
undergo unwarranted and preventable surgeries or inflict damage
on their bodies with painkillers.
Let’s
keep in mind that pain itself is bad for the body, particularly
when it is excessive or prolonged. Chronic pain is difficult to
treat and yet it is often preventable when acute pain is addressed
correctly and promptly. It may also affect quality of life by disrupting
sleep, causing depression, and eventually leading to serious conditions
including heart disease. It’s important to take pain seriously
and find healthy solutions as soon as possible.
Medical
Care/Interventional Pain Management
Our
physicians specialize in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R);
they are responsible for designing and leading comprehensive programs
of rehabilitation. They also perform (in-house) a number of interventional
techniques, such as Epidural Steroid
Injections for Sea Bright pain sufferers. Other interventional
techniques include Trigger
Point Injections, Viscosupplementation
for knee pain, Joint Injections,
and Sympathetic Blocks.
Physical
Therapy
Physical
therapy is a crucial element in helping patients regain or retain
movement, flexibility, and strength while fighting pain. Our office
remains on the cutting-edge of physical therapy by using the very
latest and best in both active and passive physical therapy practices
and technologies. Patients use customized programs of therapeutic
exercise as well as spinal decompression traction (in some cases),
laser therapy, and electrotherapy.
Chiropractors
for Sea Bright Patients
When
the spine is in perfect alignment, the body’s central nervous
system is free to work properly. When injuries or poor posture occur,
misalignments in the spine can cause both pain and overall poor
health. It’s important to ensure the correct alignment of
the entire spine in order to allow the body to recover from injury
and begin to function properly.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture
provides very real pain
relief by affecting a number of changes in the brain. By incorporating
this practice into our programs of care, patients are afforded every
possible option for healthy recovery—from ancient, Eastern
techniques to the very best in cutting-edge Western medical practices
for pain management.
