July Patient of the Month – Caroline!

Jul 16, 2015 | Acupuncture, Chiropractic

Congratulations to our Patient of the Month, Caroline McClelland! Caroline has been a patient at Monmouth Pain and Rehabilitation since January – she has received treatments including Acupuncture, cupping, physical therapy, chiropractic and massage.

Caroline explains that she has had headaches for as long as she can remember along with head and neck tightness for about seven years. About three years ago she began having dizzy spells and constant headaches as well as migraines. Caroline states that it got so bad that by last summer she was barely functioning and spent the majority of time she wasn’t at work in bed or on the couch.

Caroline explains she found MPR by searching online for a local chiropractor who specialized in upper cervical work, she found our website and decided to make an appointment for an initial evaluation.

Caroline states that she is feeling much better, she is in less pain and is having less frequent and less intense headaches.  Caroline explains, “ I am feeling much better, I am in much less pain, I have less frequent and less intense headaches, I am physically stronger, and have a lot more energy”. She also says she can go to work, run errands, do housework and still have energy to do things that I enjoy. She is also beginning to practice yoga again.

Since feeling better, on weekends and in her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, taking my dog for walks, going on bike rides, practicing yoga and taking day trips to the city.

Our staff at Monmouth Pain and Rehabilitation would like to thank Caroline for her hard work and dedication, her progress truly shows how persistent she has been with her care.

Monmouth Pain and Rehab Testimonial

After seeing multiple different specialists, and after two years of searching for a solution to my symptoms, I am so thankful to have found Monmouth Pain. Each and every member of the staff is friendly, caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable. They diagnosed me with an acute subluxation and a reverse curve in my neck. The combination of chiropractic care, physical therapy, and acupuncture have given me the most relief in my symptoms I have felt in two years. I am getting stronger and healthier each week that I come.

Slipped disc? Sciatica? Pinched nerve? Herniated disc? Spinal traction can help!

Slipped disc? Sciatica? Pinched nerve? Herniated disc? Spinal traction can help!

Spinal traction takes the pressure off of compressed areas of the spine by stretching it. This process is the key to easing pain and helping the body heal itself along the way.

Traction can be done manually or by using mechanical traction to improve spinal alignment, reduce pressure on joints, and relieve pain.

How can it be done in the office and at home? Once one of our practitioners determines that traction could be beneficial for your condition, he or she will typically place you on a specific treatment plan.  He or she may also prescribe some at-home traction devices that you could use to continue experiencing relief.
