Dr. Dana Shea is a recent graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program. She attended Ramapo College of New Jersey for her undergraduate schooling and graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology. She was also a NCAA Division III athlete for the Ramapo College Field Hockey Team. Dr. Dana has an avid interest in working with athletes and hopes to become a Sports Certified Specialist during her career. She is currently certified in Rock Taping and hopes to become certified in Kinesio Taping as well; she completed her research project in PT school on the effects KT Tape can have on athletes’ rehabilitation.
Dr. Dana became interested in Physical Therapy after participating in sports all throughout high school and middle school and having to attend PT herself as a patient. Being not only a practitioner, but also a patient herself, Dr. Dana has developed a unique view of how to work with those in need of physical therapy. Dr. Dana always puts her patients’ best interests first and strives to motivate her patients to come to love exercising and staying active in order to promote not only reducing pain but improving their enjoyment of life.
When Dr. Dana is not at Monmouth Pain and Rehab, she volunteers her time as an assistant coach for the Colts Neck High School Field Hockey Team. She also enjoys staying active and going hiking, playing pick-up field hockey and soccer with her friends, lifting, watching college football and spending time with her family here in New Jersey.
