Pain Management and Rehabilitation for Keyport, NJ
Currently known to local residents as ‘the pearl of the bayshore,’ Keyport, NJ has been the bearer of many names over its four centuries of history: the ‘fishing point,’ ‘mechanicsville,’ and ‘key port.’ The last of these owes to the town’s history of sea-faring ways and boatbuilding, professions which affect the longstanding character of the town’s residents to this day.
Monmouth Pain and Rehabilitation provides an essential and revolutionary service for Keyport residents– effective pain management without the heavy use of drugs and without surgery. We’re looking to the future in finding ways to help patients overcome painful injuries, conditions, and illnesses without inflicting further damage on the body (and thereby allowing for years of better health in general).
Even better, we’re doing this in a way that makes the pain management and rehabilitation process easier for patients. We provide your medical doctor, physical therapist, chiropractor, and acupuncturist in one location. There is no further need to drive from one rehab office to the next, often with mixed results and disjointed treatment plans. Our team works together as a cohesive unit to provide thoughtful, well-planned, and effective programs of rehabilitation and pain management for the following conditions:
|SPORTS INJURIES||NECK PAIN|
|KNEE PAIN/KNEE INJURY||NUMBNESS|
|SPINAL STENOSIS||CHRONIC FATIGUE|
|ANKLE SPRAINS||CARPAL TUNNEL|
Our staff includes physicians who specialize in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; such specialists are experts in the resolution and rehabilitation of the conditions listed above. Additionally, our physicians offer a number of minimally invasive, interventional techniques, the majority of which are performed right in our pain management office. In many cases, these procedures allow patients to find pain relief without relying on drugs. These include:
• Epidural Steroid Injections: By injecting a long-lasting steroid in the epidural space, patients can find serious, localized relief from Lower Back Pain; Arthritis; Degenerative Disc Disease; Disc Injury; Leg Pain; Numbness and/or Tingling; and many other conditions.
• Joint Injections: Facet Joint Injections in the neck, upper back, or lower back (the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spines, respectively) can help relieve neck and back pain related to arthritis or mechanical problems. Sacroiliac Joint Injections are especially helpful for patients with lower back pain related to the sacroiliac joint. Image-guided Peripheral Joint Injections may be used for patients with tendonitis or arthritis affecting the shoulder, elbow, or knee joints.
• Viscosupplementation: For knee pain and osteoarthritis in the knees, viscosupplementation works by replacing lost fluid, thereby providing much-needed lubrication to allow the bones of the knee joint to move smoothly over each other and to provide better shock absorption.
