The Medical Director at our office specializes in a branch of medicine known as Physiatry, which concentrates on disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Physiatry is also known as Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). In addition to working closely with the physical therapists, acupuncturists, and chiropractic doctors at our facility, this doctor may also incorporate minimally invasive pharmacological intervention—more specifically, our office may use corticosteroid or anesthetic injections for both long-term and short-term pain relief.
