The pain and other symptoms associated with sciatica are the result of compression, irritation, and inflammation of the sciatic nerve, which may be the product of any of the following conditions:
• Herniated Disc;
• Trauma;
• Pregnancy;
• Lumbar Spinal Stenosis;
• Spondylolisthesis; and
• Spinal Tumors (rarely).
