Meet The Team
Patricia Deutsch, M.O.T.
Patricia graduated from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT with her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2015. She completed her undergraduate studies at Sacred Heart as well, graduating with a B.S. in Exercise Science with a Concentration in Public Health and a minor in Psychology. During her time studying at Sacred Heart, Patricia was a member of the University’s NCAA Division I Women’s Track and Field team, where she specialized in throwing the javelin. It is this relationship of sport and her passion for health promotion that influences her individualized treatment approach in order to instill prolonged success and quality of life.
Patricia’s interest in Occupational Therapy began while in high school when she suffered a track and field injury that required therapy. Her first-hand account as a patient fostered her value in the collaborative relationship between patient and therapist necessary for success. It was this positive experience and individualized approach that inspires Patricia’s eagerness to return clients to the activities they value most. Her work experience in an array of settings across the lifespan, from pediatrics to geriatrics, has developed her appreciation for meeting each client at their performance level and tailoring creative and relatable treatment plans based on patient interests and goals. Her goal as a practitioner is not only to achieve patients’ objective therapeutic goals but to foster an enjoyable experience for long-term carryover of physical activity.
Patricia is an avid sport and fitness enthusiast and can be found playing basketball or working out at the gym when not at Monmouth Pain. Patricia enjoys spending her time outdoors being active with friends, going to the beach, attending sporting events, and spending time with family. She is excited to join such a positive and collaborative team at Monmouth Pain and Rehabilitation driven by passion and purpose.
